why do we live life doing what people want us to do?

You're right, it is impossible... unless you have alot of money or live on a mountain by yourself desolate of all civilization.

Truth be told the world works better with someone telling others what to do. Most can go on quietly working, some speak up (like you). Want to know who usually has an easier life? The one who doesn't complain.

We all have superiors over our head. Teachers, Managers, Parents, Landlords, Police, Military Captains, Government. It's all a ladder, and the ones on the lowest peg are the ones shat on the most (pardon my near dirty language!)

Don't worry, you're not the first to think this. Nor will you be the last. Just follow cue and find time for yourself. There's a healthy medium, if you search for it. That's life, live it, learn from it and die because of it. It's the way things go, and it's really not that bad. :)

There's nothing wrong with the ideal. You're rebelling aginst a way of life that's gotten us this far. Do you seriously have a better idea on how to live?

If everyone lived "the way they wanted" there'd be chaos, there'd be no law, there'd be so much wrong doing that the world would eventually destroy itself. Order causes limitation - limitation and law are the only thing keeping people from going "I can do what I want, you have something I want. Don't want to give it to me? *pow!*" and not being punished. The threat of punishment through law/order keeps people in line, and if you haven't noticed that doesn't always work either. Why take away what little protection you have?

As for other viewpoints, such as bosses, management, teachers and such : It's common practice in all ways shapes and forms to be told what to do by elders/superiors (considering they've taken the time to learn more than you know) so in the likely event that you're paying attention you (gasp) learn! Once you've learned well enough to the point you can show the person "above" you that you've retained the information you might just have the opertunity to climb up a bit. It's not destiny to stay at the bottom, that's why it's easier for those who don't complain. You go along with the system, eventually being promoted and furthering yourself lessening the amount of crap you have to take from others.

I'm sorry if my short stent made it think like it was the way it was and there was no way to change it. People always have the chance to make something of themselves, IF they take the time to realize that they aren't going to be able to do ANYTHING if they stay at the bottom rung going "this sucks!" - Want to make a change? Stay the course, make something of your life, gain influience over others and become the overseer you so healthily dispise... sad to say this is the only way people are going to listen to you and the only way you're going to be able to make a change even if it is in a small way.

yeah, your are right... thats why i like to protest, some people like my cousin alex, says that it does no use but IT DOES. and well your comment was to long so i didnt read it all, but im sure you were saying something worthy of being read... and well i know people should listen to their elders, most of the time they are right, because they have already lived through life...

Protest does do well! I agree! But only if you have a plan of action to back it up. I appreciate you listening to what (or at least some) of what I had to say, but just remember : If you want to change the world you'll need more than a know how of what's wrong with it - You need to know what it needs to make it right, and be willing to take the actions necessary to back up your claim. It's your dream, only you can see it completed correctly! ;)

But, on the flipside I WILL agree.... being told what to do SUCKS! >.< haha
